This is where the snag come with me: On the Penelope story, if I would have been her enlightened guide I would have suggested some alternatives to deafness or blindness. There are probably other options. The other question, what kind of enlightenment did she get seeing and hearing her mother’s death? And are some guides smarter than others? Just wondering.

We actually talked to him about Hitler. Perhaps his plan was to be a charismatic leader of some sort, but because of free choice in this life he took the wrong path

A lot of terrible terrible things came out of ww2 and these noble spirits volunteered for those difficult lives. However never forget a great deal of good and came out of it too. It showed the best in human nature in overcoming evil and many people found love. Overall good triumphed and our species evolved. WW2 happened when it did because we need to learn those lessons before we had atomic bombs and guided missiles. IF it had happened 10 years later there would be no human race.
My soul guides must have been off having a beer when “we” were doing the soul planning or have a very odd meaning for the term learning. For some reason this does not give me solace. ;-(

If you read the book you’ll learn that not everything is planned and that personalities do have freewill. Of course, karma is built up for any negative action.

It is difficult to think that we agree to some things, but these things are done on the soul level…. things we would never agree to through the physical body. Other books you may consider later on are the Conversations With God books by Neale Donald Walsch. I’ve read book 1 and 2; book 3 is At Home With God In A Life That Never Ends.
