I HAD NO CONTROL – MY ADDICTION CONTROLLED ME! The CATHIE ROHLOFF Born Again Christian Testimony

Cathy was the last of eight children. For different reasons, she felt unloved and unaccepted. When her parents divorced, that created even a bigger hole inside her fractured soul, and so she soon started drinking alcohol to dull her pain. That then lead to drug addictions of all sorts, but alcohol still played a major part in her life. A frightening thing happened to her from the very beginning of drinking alcohol. She would have memory blackouts of what had happened while she had been drinking, and this continued frequently — having no recollection of what she may have done the evening before. After one particular drinking binge, she woke up underneath her bed, not having any idea how she got there. Going outside her house later on, she found her car smashed to bits, but had no idea how that had happened either. Having two children to tend for at the time, she didn’t know if the children had been with her or with a babysitter when the accident had happened. This was a turning point in her life. This was when reality began to fully sit in. Alcohol controlled her life, and she was totally powerless to do anything about it. Yet at her lowest point, while attending an AA meeting … God showed up, and she reached out and grabbed the “life-saver” God tossed to her! Thanks for the testimony,my story is that I passed out one particular evening and was so intoxicated that I pissed the bed. So…I managed to change my underwear and move to the other side in which I also pissed. At this point all of the sheets and blankets were soaking wet so I grabbed a curtain and laid on the floor only to be woke up by the blaring morning sunshine and a cat meowing in the window sill. That damn cat was actually yelling “Hey Dumbass Get Sober”…so I did!
