The group therapies are various methods such as breathing and relaxation exercises and holistic methods such as Yoga and Pranayama that are targeted at helping people resist their cravings for alcohol. Various other kinds of therapies such as massages and acupuncture are also performed over the patients so that they can conquer their alcoholism. One important qualification for a person to go through an outpatient program is that he or she should be in a sound state of mind. This is because most of the success of the treatment depends on how well the person can stay determined to abstain. For that reason, people who have some kind of mental condition or psychiatric ailment will not be suitable for outpatient.
