  3. xmaniacxkillax says:

    @juniorisclean im confused bro are you madd at this dude or what i thought he was just trying to get the message to people of both fellowships i mean if the message is good and recovery oriented i dont see what the problem is i go to both kind of meetings

  4. 217789jimbo says:

    Alcohol is not a druuuuuuuuuuug.if you can;t control it ,your a duchbag.

  5. juniorisclean says:

    What the hell is ALCOHOLIC NARCOTIC ANONYMOUS????? This is against the traditions of both felowships. read about the traditions. Dude get with a sponsor and learn about recovery. AND ALCOHOL IS A DRUG. it is in the dictionary and it kills just like every other drug does. GET A SPONSOR, GO TO MEETINGS, ASK FOR HELP, GET INVOLVE. STOP HANGING AROUNG WITH ACTIVE ADDICTS. DO A MEETING A DAY FOR 90 DAYS. AA AND NA ARE NOT THE SAME. COCA COLA AND PEPSI ARE NOT THE SAME. AA= Alcohol, NA= ADDICTION.

  6. wspeed1195 says:

    this guys A douche bag.

  7. Hammersley1967 says:

    @kevphillips02

    Seems to me more of an NA kind of thing…

    Y’know the “war story” thing…

    But I know that in AA you can also get that “drinking history” competitiveness – such as the old “I drank more than you spit” cliche…

  8. kevphillips02 says:

    @Hammersley1967 I personall do not see the point of this guys film other than trying to develop some rcovery persona instead of just being himself.
    Maybe it might appeal to someone who has never been to an aa meeting but i think after a few years in aa one should grow out of this rhetoric

  9. kevphillips02 says:

    @Hammersley1967 It has changed on here, i no longer know how to remove comments?
    Those guys & girls infuriate me.I know a few ego maniacs who know that book backwards but they have no idea how to just have a chat about a football match or something.There whole life evolves around aa and even their social lifes consisof conventions in various places.Its just not my bag, im hacking through life making the most of the good times when they come etc etc

  10. Hammersley1967 says:

    @kevphillips02

    I know, I know…

    It’s just that I get frustrated by the small minority that DO claim to be “spiritual giants”.

    That “inner circle” of “hard core” members (usually 5 or 6 middle aged guys) that exude the attitude of “we’re doing it – you’re not” (whatever “it” is).

    And I know what you mean, it’s a small minority of boneheads that don’t really represent the rest of the NA / AA movement which is really just a bunch off like-minded adults trying to do their best with the steps…

  11. kevphillips02 says:

    @Hammersley1967 Well is good we agree on something.Thanks if you have removed the comments.
    Whatever you think of AA , we are not all the same .Some of us just want an average life without all the do gooding stuff.We can all contribute to life without claiming to be spiritual giants.

  12. Hammersley1967 says:

    @kevphillips02

    Kev, I agree with you there. This is why I bitch and moan on these threads.

    I know I shouldn’t because it may deter those who are genuinely seeking help and might be one of those who flourish in the 12 step program.

    However, the bitching and moaning helps me discharge MY exasperation with some of the flaws of the program.

    I know it’s counter to the 12 step ethos of selflessness – and its a behaviour under review.

    BTW: I will remove those nasty comments on the other thread…

  13. kevphillips02 says:

    Boring, go get some new material.If this is the best that AA gives you then go out and do some more research.I have 16 years of being sober through AA and if all i could do was spout this boring old rhetoric then i would go have another drink.THIS IS NOT WHAT RECOVERY IS ABOUT

  14. amelyk says:

    Bruce, how exactly do you live the principles of anonymity when you are plstering your mug all over youtube.

  15. RUInternational says:

    RUInternational There is hope for the Hopeless in that there is a cure for those struggling with addiction. Reformers Unanimous is a faith-based addictions program. We maintain an 82% percent success rate! Check us out @Ruinternational.

  16. Hammersley1967 says:

    Indeed, by this definition, which is the actual definition, your two previous nights of successful drinking actually proves that you are NOT an alcoholic.

    So how do you fit the profile of a classical “alcoholic” as opposed to a poly dependent drug addict?

  17. Hammersley1967 says:

    [1]

    Your definition of alcoholism as a trigger mechanism for a drug relapse is not what Bill Wilson meant by “alcoholism”.

    The Wilsonite doctrine stipulated that “alcoholism” was a specific metabolic allergy to ALCOHOL whereby the first drink led to further compulsive drinking of ALCOHOL and not DRUG USE…

  18. Hammersley1967 says:

    This story just doesn’t ring true…

    Why would you tell your “dealer friend” that you were “getting sober” when you were actually actively experimenting with controlled drinking (i.e. NOT getting sober)?

    Is that “getting sober”?

    Wouldn’t you be more prone to say “I’ve been getting clean from drugs” – since that, according to the story, was what you were actually doing?

  19. Hammersley1967 says:

    @67hulagirl67

    BIG TITS!!!

  20. 67hulagirl67 says:

    Some peoples kids these days. Lol

  21. Hammersley1967 says:

    @67hulagirl67

    And there we have it!

    The deluded “spiritual superiority” of yet another 12 step drone.

    Do you ever notice the irony of your own hypocrisy?

    Here you are espousing the wonderment of your “spiritual life” (“it helps me see how wonderful my life is becoming”?) – whilst taking the inventory of another (“without a humble bone in his body”?).

    NOW THAT SURE IS HUMBLE!!!

    But I wouldn’t expect any more from a narcissistically disturbed 12 step drone.

    Good luck with your delusions…

  22. 67hulagirl67 says:

    Wow your so smart, if I could only find a blow hard without a humble bone in his body, that would be so sweet, NOT. Next

  23. Hammersley1967 says:

    @67hulagirl67

    You are obviously unaware of the well known literary convention that stipulates that conjunctions (as well as prepositions – eg “and”, “but”, “on”, “in”, etc) are not included in acronyms…

    Moreover your acronym expansion for “LOSERS” is a senseless jumble of words (Lush Omitting Senseless Easily Rejected Script? WTF?)…

  24. 67hulagirl67 says:

    But that’s “CALEAAN” is that the best you can do hmm who’s the real
    L=Lush
    O=Omitting
    S=Senseless
    E=Easily
    R=Rejected
    S=Script
    if you new anything about me you would know that I find humor in everything, even when folks, can only be negitve, it helps me see how wonderful my life is becoming. And that I’m to blessed to be stressed.
    Goodluck with all that you do !!!
    ALOHA !!!!!

  25. Hammersley1967 says:

    @67hulagirl67
