But, DOM, last night this woman (also named Jessica) french kissed me (it was a Surprise!) last night and without the abuse of alcohol that magical moment may have never happened! I didn’t know if I should push her away or just go along with it…but before I could process what was going on and figure out my next step it was over. Cheers.

Sometimes its hard to stop drinking when everythings your fault. I thought it was my fault when my Mom got in a minor accident, but I guess that wasnt my fault, cause she said it was my brothers fault because he pissed her off.

I realize I dont need to drink a bunch of beers, I can drink one beer, or just half a beer.

I have found alchohol useful a couple of times for anxiety attacks like one or two glasses of wine. I really drink hardly at all actually. I have tried cocaine while drunk and didnt notice any effect from the cocaine at all. Guess thats why I only tried it once.

Quitting alcohol was the best for me. Used atabuse (disulphiram) for the first years but don’t use it anymore cause now i don’t like drinking or getting drunk… it takes a while (some years) to assume the change and there’s where the atabuse is useful…

    Greetings Doc!
This series you’ve done on alcohol, cocaine and dose are very informative. This one particularly on alcohol is perfect for my instructional classes for law enforcement. I’m sure you know that officers use alcohol as a stress reliever. It’s the worst thing to do! Thank you again for having a heart to advance your knowledge of substance abuse–you’re helping so many people.

I drank very heavily for twenty-five years, and found it easy to stop. I had no side effects when i stopped, but the world suddenly became a much crueler place than it ever was under the veil of alcohol…

  23. chocara1 says:

I never understood how people can take their pills and chase it down with alcohol. Scary.

DoctorMindMD I think your channel is outstanding and I love your communication style. I have known many people that mix uppers and downers for a good effect. Alcohol and stimulants eg methylphenidate were taken at 25 units alcohol PD and 400mg PD of Methylhenidate (an old friend living abroad aged 37). They have done this for 5 years and seems healthy? What is your advice? And why is the mix apperently a great feeling? Many thanks.

This was a great video. Speaks to beliefs of parents which are not always accurate.
Binge drinking is very problematic among young people. Alcohol poisoning is on the rise. Good job on this!
